New BT Health and NHS London investment in the Map
A significant investment in making the Map available to NHS staff in London has just been announced. This investment has triggered the availability of the Map to all NHS staff throughout England and Wales.
Professor Sir Graeme Catto, President of the GMC, commented: "I am delighted that the Map of Medicine will soon be available to all NHS staff in England and Wales. I hope the Map will be used by all clinicians and perhaps particularly by doctors in training and by locum doctors. Uniquely, as the interface relates to any specific location, the Map will support innovation as well as promote evidence-based Medicine and best practice standards of care.”
Nat Billington, Managing Director for the Map said: "I am delighted to be part of the team providing the first national, but locally controlled, clinical knowledge framework for the NHS".
Paul White, CEO for BT Health added: "We are pleased to be working with the Map and will work closely with them to ensure all NHS teams in London have fast access to high quality clinical information presented in their unique visual care pathways".
NHS staff in London will access the Map via www.london.mapofmedicine.com
